Globaldocs -- the viewer for Javadocs

This application allows to conveniently browse, over the Internet and local filesystem, multiple javadoc sets, using a single packages/classes hierarchy tree and a searchable index. The viewer supports local and remote docsets (the local docsets, packed to JAR/ZIP-files also are supported). There is a GUI-editor to alter the docset list.

The viewer gets the docset list from two sources:

1. From the configuration file -- remote, local, and packed local docsets can be listed there. The initial configuration file contains j2se 1.5, j2ee 1.4, hibernate and some others docsets. The viewer provides convenient ways of the new docset adding.
2. From the UN*X box local filesystem: all javadoc sets installed to the /usr/share/javadoc/ directory (Jpackage Project RPM's install the javadoc sets there). You can use the GUI-editor to disable/enable these docsets.

The application requires j2se 1.5+ to START (the webstart is a preferred way; the JAR is signed with webadmin@zeevbelkin.com). You can also download globaldocs.jar (sig), and start it with the command: java -Xmx100M -jar globaldocs.jar
